Welcome to my collection of recipes. You can browse these by their categories. I have categorized the breakfasts separate with the smoothies and juices but most of the time I usually start my mornings always with one of those. I think a hit of green first thing in the morning is one of the best ways to start the day and refresh the system.
I eat a primarily plant based vegan diet, but there are some vegetarian dishes in here as well as my husband is fan of goat and sheep cheese. I am inspired by places I go to and the amazing dishes that I find and in general whatever flavour and wholesome foods I want to eat for the day! What I love about preparing raw food is that there is no set recipe or ingredients, especially when it comes to quantity - it seemly becomes whatever takes your fancy, so the possibilities are endless! I am looking to eventually become certified in raw cooking, and to think once upon a time I burnt two minutes noodles and water!
I have my own small vegetable garden, whenever I can, I try to buy organic or spray free. In general I see food as medicine for the body, which doesn't mean I don't have naughty binge days! However over the years, I have gotten better and better with what I eat, especially since it affect the way that I feel. I suffer from compartment syndrome and fibromyalgia, which means I am constantly in pain, so food affect the way my body functions and feels tremendously. The more fresh and unprocessed I eat, the less sluggish I am, the more energy I have, the healthier I feel. Being healthy is a way of life, not just a destination!
