So last month Megan , Gianna and myself decided to head to Freo for a raw lunch after a hot sweaty class. All of us are teachers, and Gianna just recently arrived in Perth from Austin, Megan has been here for the past 6 months hailing from Oregon. We all love yoga and good food so I thought it was a great opportunity to introduce them to Fremantle's The Raw Kitchen. Today I went again with Tom and Kiley, who have both just arrived in Perth to teach also.
This place is one of Perth's first raw eateries, they are only open for lunch right now but soon will be expanding to a new location on High St and will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner! It's one of my absolute favourite places to eat out at, the food is simple delicious, wholesome and you can't go wrong! They also have small selection of superfoods and raw goodness for sale.
One my my favourite dishes here is the pasta. Zucchini pasta, picture below - kalamata olives and mushrooms in a rich homemade sauce topped with raw parmesan cheese. Every mouthful is a burst of deliciousness. Many happy yogis have eaten this amazing dish.
When I eat great raw food like this, it just makes me happy. My whole body is happy with me. As one of my fellow vegan friend Jayson says "when you can eat fresh like this, why would you eat anything else?!"
